Vacation Bible School 2017
"As Galactic Starveyors, kids will search the skies and God’s Word to uncover God’s Truth etched into His handiwork. They will discover the God who created everything there is—the knowable and the unknowable, the visible and the invisible—wants a relationship with them!"
This year's VBS program ran from July 31st to August 4th. Each night, anywhere from 30-40 kids from ages Pre-K through 6th grade learned about the God of the Universe. This year's theme was taken from Colossians 1:15-16 "The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him." Our VBS theme was "Searching the visible, discovering the invisible."
Each night, led by a wonderful staff and many volunteers, children took part in a Bible study combined with snack time, had some time to run off some energy in recreation, learned about missions and how to spread the Word of God through example, and made wonderful, unique crafts to take home. There was also a time of combined worship where children learned about God through song and dance.
We look forward to another successful year next year. Thank you to all the children who participated, all the parents who "lent us" their kids for the week and all the volunteers and teachers who made this year a success!
